I like how blogging is so personal. Even if you don't post about yourself, you post about things that matter to you, and people can learn more about you. It's kinda ironic how you hide your blog from people. Most of my close friends know about my blog, because I figure I can trust them to like me.
Maria, I couldn't agree with you more, because blogs are personal regardless of their nature and discretion. I would find it embarrassing if someone from my workplace found out about this blog. I guess, the reason I only feel comfortable sharing it with my close friends because they already know about the things I blog about here, so nothing here would be a new revelation for them.
"Words - so innocent and powerless as they are, as standing in a dictionary, how potent for good and evil they become in the hands of one who knows how to combine them." - Nathaniel Hawthorne
"The only way you can write the truth is to assume that what you set down will never be read. Not by any other person, and not even by yourself at some later date. Otherwise you begin excusing yourself. You must see the writing as emerging like a long scroll of ink from the index finger of your right hand; you must see your left hand erasing it." - Margaret Atwood.
